Growing Up

Remember when you were younger and would say to yourself "Oh I can't wait till i grow up." I mean who doesn't? I know for sure that I did, and even continue to say so. When we were younger it was that excitement of getting your first cellphone and being able to call up your friends at anytime. Once you get that first cellphone its that excitement of getting your first car and having the ability to drive wherever whenever. Most of us focus so much on our future that don't even pay attention to whats going on in our present and how fortunate most of us are. Some of us don't even realize that growing up comes with more responsibility. In my opinion we all realize these sort of things when we come across our teenage years. It is at this age when were all in that stage of turning from kids or "young adults" into adults.

At this point most of us are still eager to become adults, get our first car, go off to collage and have that idea of "freedom." I mean, lets be honest who doesn't want to go to a collage far away from home and well be independent. Not having to hear your parents constantly tell you what to do, and pretty much being able to do whatever you want to. Once again what most of us don't quite understand is that all of that comes along with a lot of responsibility. You'll no longer be able to depend on your parents, you'll have to pay your own bills, and well do everything on your own.

Some of us are even scared of this, instead of being eager to grow up they desire the total opposite. They wish they were little again. Not having to worry about anything, not even themselves because its they're parents job to do so. Not worrying about being popular or fitting in with the rest. Not worrying about crying over a break up but instead crying because they lost their favorite toy at the super market. Then lastly there are those teens that are simply in between of wanting to grow up but at the same time, in a way not wanting to rush into it.
